Hi!  My name is Mindy.  I’m a 28 year old newlywed, first time homeowner, have a degree in art, and a noisy member of a huge Italian family. This site may sometimes serve as a makeshift journal. I have never lived on my own until now. When we got married and moved into our house, we had nothing but each other and our dog Rocco.  A lot of things are very foreign new and exciting to me!  This new chapter of my life is very much learning experience.   I will be discussing food, family, friends, and turning our house into a home that we love.  I keep it honest here, so I post the recipes that worked as well as the ones that didn’t, the occasional “what not to do” post and even the “thank goodness we have insurance” post.

 

 

I started this blog to keep friends and family up to speed with what’s going on at our new house. Since everyone has busy lives and busy schedules, it was tough to have everyone over each time we updated our home. I’ve never had a blog before, but it seemed to be an easy way to share what we were up to with everyone and they can see it at their own convenience.

This has become an experiment to vent organize my daily thoughts and ideas, laughs, trials and tribulations that come with trying to live a positive and productive life. 

I’m learning as I go in life and always trying to find the silver linings.
